Seven categories of friendships may be places where real friends are developed. Among the areas examined are how work contacts become real friends. How fitness friends share power in pushing the limits together and building friendships. How a fitness Triathlon team builds friendships. Cyclists, too, are included in this review. Runners are considered an activity where male participants may develop friendships. Weight Lifting is reported as an activity where friendships can be developed. For older people, friendly competition builds many friendships. Competition is not forgotten as a place to build friendships.
