If you were glued to your couch this weekend catching up on all things The Ultimatum, you are def not alone. This season is full of couples that, TBH, seem like they can make it. Still, with reality television, you truly never know.

For a recap on the premise: The Ultimatum features five couples who are not quite in agreement on where their relationship stands.

Usually, one is ready for marriage, while the other isn’t quite sure. To solve the problem, couples switch partners for a three week “trial marriage,” and then switch back to their OG mates. By the end, most contestants know if they are ready to marry or move on, as the saying goes.

One couple included in this reality rollercoaster? Riah and Trey. Trey issued his ultimatum because he’s ready to create a life like his parents, who have been married for 30 years. On the other hand, Riah has felt like Trey is slacking in the romance department, and isn’t quite sure she’s ready to tie the knot.

So far, the couple has hit some…rocky moments in the season.

Below, here’s everything to know about Riah and Trey’s relationship, and all the clues on whether they are still together.

Who are Riah Nelson and Trey Brunson?

Rewind with me for a sec. Riah and Trey met on a dating app a few years back. At the time Trey was so head-over-heels that he was sure Riah was catfishing him. The pair have been together for about two years, and Trey is ready to take things to the next level.

However, Riah says she’s hesitant because Trey is not the epitome of her Prince Charming. On the other hand, Trey feels like Riah’s expectations have been warped by social media standards.

Oh, and Riah isn’t even sure she’s ready to settle down—she has plans to move to a big city and go to school, and she isn’t convinced Trey will factor into that equation, either.

What’s happened with Riah and Trey so far?

A lot.

First, there’s been somewhat of a role reversal. Trey entered a trial marriage with another contestant, Ryann, and felt things went really well with her. In fact, he even admitted he had caught feelings.

Riah entered a relationship with Ryann’s OG partner James, and it…wasn’t as great. James was convinced from the jump that Ryann was his forever match, which left the trial couple to stay firmly in the friend zone.

After hearing that Trey had caught feelings, Riah was obviously upset. Now that Trey and Riah are in their own trial marriage, things are very tense and rocky. Riah is having trouble trusting Trey after he admitted he was high key crushing on another contestant. And who could blame her?

Plus, all the couple’s original problems are still very present. To make things worse, Ryann made Trey a scrapbook to commemorate their time as a couple together—which seems like the social media-level romance Riah has been looking for!

So, are Riah and Trey still together?

It’s very likely.

While you may assume Riah wouldn’t get over Trey admitting feelings for someone else, it seems like Riah was able to move past it! At one point, Riah’s sister visits and tells her that she should appreciate Trey’s honesty about the whole situation, and that she needs to forgive him. Trey will be making that up to his maybe sister-in-law for a very long time.

Plus, it is extremely likely that Ryann and James worked things out—so there’s no way that Trey and Ryann are still an item. What’s more, Riah and Trey have posted Instagram photos recently in the same places.

See IG Exhibit A:

For example, in July, Riah shared that she was celebrating her 25th birthday in Tampa, Florida. Coincidentally (or not), Trey also posted a collection of photos boasting a recent visit to the same city.

These posts are also within one day of each other. Sure, Tampa is a big city—but not that big!

Of course, there’s still a few more episodes of The Ultimatum before any news is official, but if I had to place bets, I’d say that Riah and Trey are still very much an item.

One last thing of note? Trey captioned his photo from Tampa, “Sometimes you have to take time to celebrate where you are in life.” Perhaps that means the couple is just enjoying where they are right now, together?

Time will tell. In the meantime, you can catch up on all things The Ultimatum on Netflix.
