Charity Lawson’s season of The Bachelorette is wrapping up really soon, so of course, that means it’s almost time for everyone’s favorite Bach Nation show: Bachelor in Paradise. Yup, season 9 is coming in hot this fall, and you can expect plenty of random couples, surprising engagements—and drama for daaaaays.
Wondering which Bachelor and Bachelorette stars will be on BiP season 9? Or when it will air? Same. Well, thanks to Reality Steve and his never-ending trove of reality TV sneak peeks, Women’s Health now has some super juicy spoilers to keep you abreast of what’s in store. So, without further ado, here is everything you need to know about the newest BiP season so far, from cast, to release date and general news.
Who is in the season 9 cast?
The official cast list hasn’t been confirmed yet, but Reality Steve has some educated guesses. And it definitely looks like a lot of former cast mates will be making appearances together. Steve says the following people are expected to be in the mix:
- Rachel Recchia (yes, the former Bachelorette from season 19)
- Greer Blitzer (Zach Shallcross’ Bachelor season 27 contestant)
- Brayden Bowers (Charity Lawson’s Bachelorette season 20 contestant)
- Aaron Bryant (Bachelorette season 20 contestant)
- Catherine Carter “Cat” Wong (Bachelor season 27 contestant)
- Tanner Courtad (Bachelorette season 20 contestant)
- Jess Girod (Bachelor season 27 contestant)
- Kat Izzo (Bachelor season 27 contestant)
- Aven Jones (Bachelorette season 19 contestant and Rachel Recchia’s runner-up)
- Sean McLaughlin (Bachelorette season 20 contestant)
- Nate Mitchell (Bachelorette season 19 contestant)
- Blake Moynes (Katie Thurston’s ex!)

When does season 9 begin airing?
ABC confirmed in May that BiP would be coming in the fall of 2023, but no exact date has been set yet. Stay tuned, Bachelor Nation! Good things are coming soon… However, ABC has said that the new season will air on Tuesday nights at 9pm EST, right after new episodes of Celebrity Jeopardy. Mark your cals, everyone.
Where does it take place?
BIP always films in Playa Escondida in Sayulita, Mexico, and there’s been nothing to indicate it will be shot anywhere else. So it looks like this crew will once again fall in love in the sun-kissed sand.
Who is the first to get eliminated?
While no one can be sure of exactly what happens, there are some spoilers that point towards certain contestants making an early exit.
According to Reality Steve, the men give out the roses at the first rose ceremony and three women are immediately eliminated. Time to say your goodbyes to Greer Blitzer, Brooklyn Willie, and Cat Carter. BTW, you probably already noticed, but all three of these women are from Zach Shallcross’ dumpster fire season. They really can’t catch a break!
Who gets engaged?
Info is still coming in, but Reality Steve has said that he’s pretty sure Kat and John Henry get engaged at the end of the season. Plus, Eliza and Aaron B. leave the show together, but it’s not clear if they get engaged.
“Kat and John Henry are absolutely together, and I’m pretty sure they got engaged at the end of BIP filming,” Reality Steve tweeted in July, along with film footage. “Here is a video of them last Sat night July 8th at Rudee’s in Virginia Beach. Onlookers said they were holding hands and were an obvious couple.”
