LEGENDARY THOR ACTOR and fitness fanatic Chris Hemsworth took to the hills for his most recent Instagram-worthy workout.
He and his wife Elsa Patasky, 47, took their three kids on an African safari for their most family vacation this past week. Per Patasky’s Instagram, the family explored the Kenyan countryside, spotting giraffes, elephants, and lions. Hemsworth’s not taking any days off from the gym, however. He’s still carving out the time to get a little pump in on the trip.
Hemsworth posted an Instagram reel showing the bodyweight-centric work he and his team got in, created to promote Hemsworth’s fitness app, Centr, and their newly released Fitness Essentials Kit. His son even manned the camera. They did get to improvise with a few pieces of “equipment”, including resistance bands, the running board of the safari 4WD, and a log. Yes, you heard that right. A log.
Even with the minimal equipment, the guys put in work. A few cardio staples including sprints and double-foot mountain climbers were sprinkled around what looked like mostly upper body focused strength sets. Resistance bands made biceps curls, triceps extensions, chest flies, lateral raises and back rows possible in (what looks like) an area that could be miles from any gym. A little bit of lower body was sprinkled in with some bodyweight lunges and squats. Pushups and shoulder presses were done with the log. They even used the running board as a supplemental bench for tricep dips.
Hemsworth is really embodying the sentiment that you can workout anywhere, anytime, with anything.
