Watford City – Dr. Jennifer Arnhold, OBGYN, joined our team on Jan. 6 and, together with Dr. Yolanda Newton, OBGYN, is providing women’s health and obstetric services. Dr. Arnhold was born and raised in Grand Rapids, MN, and currently resides in Brainerd, MN. Her son, Ty, is 9 years old, and she enjoys all activities with him. “I feel fortunate to have fallen into this opportunity with McKenzie Health! I enjoy the travel to North Dakota and realize great personal and professional satisfaction to be able to provide patient care,” says Dr. Arnhold.
Continuity of care for patients and a gorgeous facility drew Dr. Arnhold to McKenzie Health. She stated that Pete Edis, CEO, has done a great job of both facilitating and nurturing continuity of care which factored into her transition to Watford City. Her skill sets are far reaching and will greatly enhance a robust obstetrics and gynecology program. In 2004, Dr. Arnhold received the Maurice B. Schwartz, MD Award in Honor of Consistent Outstanding Academic Achievement in Residency – Creighton University Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Omaha, NE. When asked why she decided to pursue the medical subspecialty of obstetrics and gynecology, Arnhold responded that she “really enjoys working with women, being a women’s advocate, and having the opportunity to work with women from their teenage years to caring for them later in life – pregnancy, life as an adult woman, through menopause. There are a lot of unique situations and medical issues that happen throughout our lives. As an OBGYN, I’m a participant in that.”
Pete Edis, CEO, said, “We are incredibly fortunate to have a pair of highly skilled and dedicated OBGYNs that are comfortable and capable in our rural environment!”
Dr. Arnhold has been practicing for almost 20 years. While she enjoys labor and delivery, she also has great clinical interest in procedural and surgical procedures. Professionally, her skills range from urinary incontinence procedures, to laparoscopic hysterectomies, to bleeding issues, to issues that appear when you’re done having children that can be surgically remedied.
