Season 3 of Outer Banks just dropped on Netflix, continuing the adventures of the Pogues and the Kooks in North Carolina. The show has become one of the streaming giant’s most popular young adult dramas, blending elements from the romance, action, crime and mystery genres as it follows a couple of star-crossed teens John and Sarah and their friends as they navigate the class divide between the local community (“Pogues”) and wealthy elites (“Kooks”) and end up entangled in a whole lot of drama involving some legendary gold and a dead parent who might not actually be dead.
And the way Season 3 ended left all kinds of storytelling avenues open for future seasons.
Will there be a Season 4 of Outer Banks?
Netflix renewed Outer Banks for a fourth season before the third season even hit the streaming platform, and the cast made the announcement during a live event called Poguelandia in Huntington Beach, California on February 18.
What will Season 4 be about?
The saga of the gold will continue in Season 4, and actor Jonathan Daviss, who plays Pope, recently said that some of the show’s long-running mysteries will finally be resolved as the characters near the end of high school.
“All those questions start to be answered, and you realize how way in over their heads these kids were this whole time,” he told EW. “Our Pogues are small fish in a big pond and they have to adapt to not get eaten by the sharks around them.”
Who will be in Season 4 of Outer Banks?
The main cast will all probably be back for Season 4, including Chase Stokes as John B. Routledge, Madelyn Cline as Sarah Cameron, Madison Bailey as Kie, Jonathan Davis as Pope Heyward, Rudy Pankow as JJ Maybank, Carlacia Grant as Cleo, and Drew Starkey as Rafe Cameron.
When will Season 4 of Outer Banks be released?
Netflix have yet to confirm an official release date for the fourth season of the show, although it’s likely that fans are in for a little bit of a wait given that Season 3 only just dropped. There was a gap of around a year and a half between Season 2 and Season 3, so right now our best guess is mid-2024.
