Sunrise weatherman Sam Mac shows off his impressive eight-week body transformation as he goes shirtless on the cover of Men’s Health and reveals how you can do it too: ‘I got rid of my dad bod!’
Sam Mac has posed shirtless on the cover of Men’s Health Australia to reveal his impressive eight-week body transformation.
The Sunrise weatherman, 42, admitted to the publication he used to have a ‘dad bod,’ before shaping up with the help of celebrity trainer Jono Castano.
Over eight weeks, the TV star and father of one performed a series of intense 75 minute workouts at Jono’s Sydney gym Acero and totally overhauled his diet.
Sam told the publication he feels better than ever, but admitted it was ‘confronting’ to look at himself and his ‘gut’ in the mirror before deciding to make a change.
He said as soon as Jono took a look at him and his physique, he told him he had a ‘dad bod’.

‘I couldn’t dispute what Jono said [dad bod], because the gut was hanging out there and my skin is the same complexion as Liquid Paper. It’s not white. It’s very, very white,’ he said.
‘It’s hard to hide it when there’s a bit of flab down there. I wasn’t overweight, but I could see that there was flab there. There were too many naan breads.’
He added: ‘It was a little confronting even for me to see because I hadn’t really looked down for a while.’

After eating unhealthy meals while travelling around Australia for Sunrise, Sam also completely overhauled his diet.

Sam also shared his Men’s Health cover on his Instagram page and wrote: ‘Wowsers! That’s really me!’
‘I’m absolutely honoured to grace the cover of Men’s Health AU & absolutely gutted they included my “before” shot on that same cover (gutted being the appropriate term).
He added: ‘The magazine is officially in stores on Monday, but in the meantime, take a breath & enjoy a little taste of #DaddyMac.’
